Record Store day is this Saturday 16th of April. Most record stores in London have their stock ready mostly with re-presses and a few new releases, to be honest, I prefer to shop on normal days because that day is super chaotic, however, I always end up buying at least one or two records.
Oh, and did I mention that there will be loads of in-store events and afterparties? if you haven’t decided yet, let me give you a hand where to go this Saturday.
Phonica Records
I can’t deny that this is my favorite, I’ve been at their Record Store Day the last three years and each year is better than the last. Get there early if you want to buy records to avoid disappointment, a part of the stock list has already been published. Last year was AMAZING between the special guest were Dj Andres, Four Tet, and Todd Edwards.
Their 2016 event is out but the lineup won’t be announced until that day, but no worries remember is Phonica!
Love Vinyl
New and Vintage stock will be available at the store. The lineup is headed by Paranoid London plus the Crustcondctor will be serving one of the best pizza in London. Check out the Facebook Event for more info. The After party will be at Ruby’s Bar & Lounge.
Koncept Music
Koncept Music is a “new’ record store in London founded in December 2015 by Greg Brockmann from Half Baked, besides it short life, the store has built its own reputation. A special guest from Talman Records will be playing at the store together with some local talents . More info on the event. The Stock list is available on Discogs.
Rye Wax
There will be local Dj’s playing at the store as well as a large list of records available . More info on the official event.
After party?
Locomotive Disco will be hosting a House, Disco & Funk Party. The special guests are The House of Disco, High Fashion Technique, and Aerial. Limited FREE tickets are available on Oslo Tickets.
